Marketing / IT Department
Web Developer / Designer

  • Worked with a committee and designer to build a new web site. Site eventually evolved into a simple content management system secured by active directory. Site content is stored in MS SQL Server 2008 R2 database. Data is delivered and manipulated through a combination of stored procedures and direct query. Web services, JavaScript, and C# code behind are used to deliver data to the pages.
  • Created custom UI for several library subscription software packages using provided XML RSS feeds. This includes enhancements to the XML feed in the events software that's written in classic asp with a MySQL database. The XML is ingested by several ASP.NET classes then cached in web services to deliver to the page. The page then progressively loads dynamic data using .NET script services and JavaScript based on users events.
  • Updated the design and code on the libraries commercial site. Site runs completely on JavaScript without any postback on page changes or form submission.
  • Built custom volunteer tracking and reporting software. Software includes four components, a public sign-up form, backend maintenance and reporting site and volunteer timesheet. Maintenance site is a complete JavaScript application secured active directory.
  • Structured much like the volunteer tracking software the Summer Reading application has a public sign-up form, backend maintenance and live reporting site. Wireframed from the ground up based on the needs of children's librarians.
  • Designed and coded web enabled digital lobby signs for branches that display current and upcoming events.
  • Wrote documentation for users and programmers.
  • Built a simple version of the public web site for a specific set of limited mobile web browsers.
